In my opinion, the layout of this golf course is stupid. It's a pretty course, it really is, though there are way too many houses on the course. But the layout of the course, at least from the blues and whites is simply stupid. Hole number 7 is a par 5. It is to be played as three shots as too many houses were getting hit on players going for the green in two. It is a stupid hole. It is a 90 degree dog-leg left. There is wash before the second approach shot, and the green. A little help with distances to some unknown point of space would help the first time player at this course. I was flying blind on this hole and it showed.
Some holes are way too short. Some holes that are par 5's are simply normal length par 4's. Some par 4s are 300 yards or less...But the greens are super skinny. The challenge is getting your approach shot to land within a 15 yrd area. Hazard in front of the green and nothing but crap on the back of the green. Just a poor layout in my opinion.
I wouldn't play here again if it cost me only $10. I'd play if it were free, but otherwise, I'll go to Sugarbush, or the Jewell, or just about anywhere else.
